The Role
We’re looking for a Staff Engineer (Python) to join our client’s growing engineering team. You’ll work on advanced transaction monitoring solutions that help fight financial crime globally. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll design scalable systems, lead technical discussions, and mentor engineers while contributing to product innovation.

What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain complex, scalable applications used by top financial institutions worldwide.
- Lead technical architecture discussions to ensure performance, security, and maintainability.
- Set high standards for technical excellence through code, documentation, and reviews.
- Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to enhance engineering workflows.
- Define and drive best practices in testing, observability, and reliability.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and capabilities.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on Python development background.
- Proven success in building and scaling SaaS products.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, SNS, SQS, etc.).
- Understanding of the DevOps lifecycle, including CI/CD.
- Full-stack mindset: design, build, test, deliver, and support.
- Strong delivery skills, breaking down complex requirements into actionable technical tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark).
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React).
